Hello and welcome to my Falken Pro G4 A/S Review.

The Falken Pro G4 A/S has an asymmetrical design which look stunning and highly appealing. Recently, I got a chance to review this tire when an old friend of mine bought a used car from a dealer and brought it to me to get a few things fixed. This car was a Dodge Charger and the Falken Pro G4 A/S added more muscle and aggressiveness to the design. I was flattered by the looks and feels that the tires were adding to the ride.

Ok, so the tires looked great and I was already a fan but what about the performance? Were they really worth investing money in or are there better options at the same price? To answer all those questions, I took the car on a test ride and here is everything I found out about the Falken Pro G4 A/S.

First Impression

The tires look aggressive, tread design is sporty and the complete package is ‘premium stuff’. The silica compound reinforced into the tires make them hotter and technically, enhances the performance of the tire.

Moreover, since Falken has used the same compound in its several other products, it gives the confidence that this material works well for Falken’s business and the consumer’s ride.

Coming to the showdown, the Dodge Charger is already an eye grabber and adding these tires made it a total eye candy that most people would find lovable. Talking about the tread design, Falken Pro G4 A/S has a 3D feel to it. The outer shoulder improves the steering and the wide angled tread block improves the overall handling. Other important feature is the presence of 3D siping on the shoulders that create multiple points of traction even on the most slippery roads giving you all the grip you have been looking for snow and ice.

Economics

When it comes to premium tires, we have a lot of option in the market which gives us the liberty to select the best ones for our car or truck. Falken Pro G4 A/S is a tire that should be on your comparison list. It is made for high end 4-wheelers and is loved by the owners of sports cars and premium sedans.

However, the Falken Pro G4 A/S comes at a decent price which I would grade between economical and mid-premium. While this might be a turn down for many people reading this review but let me assure you that Falken Pro G4 A/S is an investment that you would never regret. I have met people who have told me that their set of Falken Pro G4 A/S tires lasted more than 50,000 miles. This should give you an idea on the return you can expect on your investment.

Falken Pro G4 A/S Review: Test Drive

I was (honestly) very excited to test drive these tires (and the car). I wanted to test them to the limits and decided to drive the Dodge the way it is meant to be. We sped through the expressways on dry roads and then entered a few icy patches which helped us review the tires in all conditions. I was hoping for a bump free, highly stable and zero noise drive. Did I get it? Let’s find out.

Dry Conditions

The tire has everything that it needs to maintain a traction on the road. The tread design is super strong which ensures optimum friction for traction. A few kilometers into the test and I knew the tires were perfect for dry conditions. The drive was smooth and under control. Even at higher speed, not for a moment did I feel like I was losing control. The cornering, stability, braking, everything was perfect and spot on. The tires behaved above average but sadly, a little less than excellent.

Wet Conditions

Speeding on wet roads is anything but smart; but when you want to test the limits, you have to act a little stupid. I decided to go a little above the usual speed and give these tires a test. To my surprise, these tires behaved better than expected. In fact the performance on the wet roads was better than what I got on the dry roads. The water was thrown away at a great speed, the braking suffered negligible skid and the noise and roar were bare minimum.

Snow/Icy Conditions

I was not able to test the Falken Pro G4 A/S on a lot of snow but I did get a chance to drive these beautiful tires on a decent amount of snow. Like wet conditions, these went smoothly into the snow and came out with perfection. I had the car under my control the whole time and felt that the grip maintained by the tires on the road was above average. I would rank these tires just a little less than excellent in snowy conditions.

Comfort and Noise

These are premium tires made for high end cars which means that one should expect minimum roar and noise irrespective of the condition of the road. The Falken Pro G4 A/S fulfil this expectation and stick to the ground without creating any irritating sounds on moderate speeds. The noises are evident on braking and cornering but those are manageable and rarely get inside the cabin. However, on high speeds, the story is different. They make a decent amount of noise and you easily feel it penetrating your ears which gets uncomfortable.

However, the ride quality provided by the tires is exceptional. BUT, I would attribute some amount of comfort to the Dodge Charger as well.

Wear and Tear

The tires in front of me had done around 10k and they still looked good. Obviously, they did not look anywhere close to new but for tires that have faced snow and ice on a regular basis, these were an absolute beauty.

Final Word

I have no reason why I should not recommend these tires. They are amazing on every kind of surface, they have a great grip, do not cost A LOT, and add to the comfort of the car. The price is lower than the competition and you can expect them to do more miles than the competition in the same price spectrum. If you are looking for a set of tires that would make your ride look more powerful and comfortable, Falken Pro G4 A/S is what you need in your life.
