Britain's EU membership - is the end in sight?

Interesting article from Daniel Korski on the Spectator site about the possibility of UK withdrawal from the European Union.  He seems to think it is a growing possibility.

Oddly, Korski begins by asserting that "Britain is going to stay in the EU for the next ten years at least. Of that I'm sure."  Now that we've all seen how straight forward holding a referendum to decide things can be, I'm not so sure.

Korski's assessment of the likely time-scale for a UK withdrawal is mainly made in terms of when various MPs might retire.  But I'm not sure that the question of our EU membership will be decided by SW1 people alone for much longer.

Once it is apparent that only the prejudices and career self-interest of the political / mandarinate classes are keeping us in, then the end really is in sight.
