Commons takes another step towards EU economic government - without debate

Another week, another transfer of power to Brussels.

Today the House of Commons takes note of approves the "start of a new cycle of economic governance in the European Union .... designed to apply to the EU as a whole". 

According to EU Document 18066/10, which passes before the Commons today, the process by which the UK government sets its budget is now part of a wider process overseen by the European Commission.  Tax and spend decisions within "all member states", even the non-Eurozone ones, are now subject to EU oversight.  Read the document for yourself - and tell me if I've got it wrong. 

It will pass through the Commons today without debate.  Without a proper vote.

Perhaps, like with the Euro bailout Mechanism, agreement on this has been reached by "cross-party consensus"?
