If it's wrong for Britain to bailout Greece, why is it right to bailout Portugal?

Today it'll be confirmed that Britain will, indeed, be coughing up about £4 Billion to bailout Portugal.  Government spinners will attempt to sweeten the pill by bigging up the fact that we're not going to be doing so for Greece - and hoping the mainstream media focuses on that. 

But if it makes no sense for Britain to be adding to Greece's overdraft, why on earth are we doing so for Portugal? 

If we can say "no" to Greece, why are we going along with a deal to bailout Portugal, despite the Greek example making it pretty clear that the lenders will not be seeing their money again.

And, as I ask in this Westminster Hall debate, why are we about to promote those officials who helped get us into this mess?
