Our "google" government needs to be open about advice on the bailout

The £7 Billion Ireland bailout and (potential) £4.8 Billion bailout of Portugal, easily dwarf the £6.2 Billion of painful, deficit-reducing savings we've managed to make over the past year.

Coalition ministers say that they were opposed to the last minute deal outgoing Chancellor, Alistair Darling, did to make Britain liable for the Euro 60 Billion bailout Mechanism.

If so, why has someone briefed a newspaper that we're on the verge of promoting one of the top negotiators behind the deal to become the next Ambassador to the EU? 

As my case before the Information Commissioner argues, we need to see the official advice that ministers were given on taking office about the bailout Mechanism.  The public interest case is now overwhelming.
