Prime Ministers Question Time update

Many thanks for those who offered suggestions on this blog - or via twitter.

With most suggestions on the bailouts, I quoted a letter written by a Treasury minister last July in which they said that "while the decision [to sign up to the bailout mechanism] was taken under the previous government, this government though it was appropriate". Is that still the government's position?

The reply was not entirely clear. The Prime Minister started off saying I was "dogged" in pursuing this issue. (Guilty as charged, M'lud.  I could see coming the consequences of nodding through the deal last May).

And that all would be well by 2013 (Let's just hope none of those £20 Billion "contingent" liabilities we've signed up to over the past year or so become real, eh)

Something tells me I won't be the only one pushing this line of questioning for much longer ...
