Something rotten with our judges?

Someone is alleged to have done something that no one can mention.  Thanks to a judicial ruling, no one is permitted to even refer to the fact that we’re not allowed to mention it. 

In a step reminiscent of the days when journalists could be arrested for reporting on proceedings in Parliament, hacks could henceforth be imprisoned for even reporting on some of the court proceedings leading to these restrictions on reporting.  

Is it not bizarre and intolerable that this is where human right law has taken us? Welcome to the world of judicially defined freedom.        

In other news, President Assad of Syria is expected to launch a new clamp down on twitter-users and bloggers.  Perhaps he might take a look at the model being employed by British judges?
