I'm sorry to hear Sir Paul Stephenson is quitting as head of the Metropolitan Police.
He had done a good job in recalibrating the priorities of the Met, after the disastrous years of his predecessor. Sir Paul understood the need to answer to the public. Under his leadership, crime fell.
I had met him and was impressed. I'm sad to see him go.
