Technocratic government won't save the Euro

Looking at the latest bond yields, it doesn't seem that installing Brussels satraps to govern Greece and Italy has really fixed the problem of a dysfunctional single currency.

The Euro elites have been furiously bailing out and borrowing to try to save their grand project for nearly two years now - with your money.

But all they've managed to do is increase the total amount of debt, without solving the problem.

The UK government's support for the Euro, ministers decision to commit £ billions to try to save it, and their calls for Eurozone fiscal integration are looking more bizarre by the day.

It's not just Greek government bonds that will end up lacking much credibility.

Ministers must stop recycling the failed thinking of the Europhile Whitehall elite, and do what this blog has been suggesting for months; call for default and decouple, not bailout and borrow.
