Where did all the snow go?

Do read this hilarious article, published in the Independent ten years ago.

It quotes a scientist from my old university, University of East Anglia, warning that snow could disappear from our lives, thanks to global warming.

"Children just aren't going to know what snow is" warned the expert.

"Sledges, snowmen, snowballs" the article continued "... are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain's culture, as warmer winters - which scientists are attributing to global climate change - produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries".  But what about Novembers and Decembers, guys?

Since then, lots of publicly-funded experts have been paid to produce lots of reports showing man-made climate change.  And so we've had lots more reports telling us about man-made climate change....

But last time I checked the view from my window, there was still lots of snow.
