With diplomats like these ...

Britain will not have to pay to bailout Greece. What a triumph for British diplomacy, not having to pay for something we chose not to join!

Only the sort of out-of-touch diplomats we have representing us in Brussels - who negotiated to place us under pan-EU economic governance and raise our Brussels budget contribution by 74 percent - could possibly see this as a "victory".

I doubt you'd see it as a "victory" if I told you were not, after all, going to have to pay off your neighbours mortgage, or pick up the bill for the next door table at the restaurant. You'd be surprised anyone ever thought that you should. Yet that is more or less the position of those we have negotiating on our behalf in Brussels.
