Anyone else facing issues with their 2005 Nissan Xterra?

Thanks for the tip, yfinley! I’m hoping to tackle my car’s issues this weekend. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly!

Is it just me or do these electrical issues keep us united? Feels like we’re all part of a little Xterra club with these problems!

Absolutely! My Xterra feels like an old friend at this point – flaws and all. Makes every road trip an adventure!

I’ve had some serious issues with my 2005 Xterra, especially with the brake system. The cost to replace the rotors was around $600! Has anyone else faced this?

I totally relate! I had to replace my brake pads too and it cost me $300. It’s so frustrating! Maybe we should start a support group for Xterra owners.

The fuel gauge on my Xterra is also acting wonky. Sometimes it shows empty when I know there’s fuel. Has anyone figured out how to fix this without breaking the bank?

I had the same problem! I took it to my mechanic, and they recommended replacing the fuel sending unit. Cost me about $250.

I’ve been dealing with the exhaust leak issue on my 2005 Xterra for ages. Anyone have tips on finding reliable aftermarket parts for the exhaust system?

Check out online retailers like RockAuto or AutoZone for parts. I found a good catalytic converter there, saved a lot of money!

My Xterra has been a rockstar, but just last week the transmission started to slip. I’m curious if anyone has had a major repair on theirs and how much it cost.

Oh man, the slipping transmission is one of my biggest fears! I hear it could run you around $2,000. Better start saving! Anyone tried fluid changes before it got worse?

Yeah, I do regular fluid changes. It might not be a miracle cure, but it helps keep things running smoothly. Just a thought!

I love my Xterra, despite all the quirks! Just last week I joked with my buddy that I feel like I’m on a never-ending game of car repair bingo. Anyone else feel this way?
