Anyone know good self service car washes in Hamilton?

I prefer to use my own drying towel instead of the ones provided. They tend to scratch sometimes—has anyone else experienced that?

Good idea! I’ve been thinking about investing in some microfiber towels. They work wonders without scratching. Plus, they’re super absorbent!

Microfiber FTW! To save time, I wash my wheels first while the soap is applied to the body. It’s a great way to multitask!

I wonder if there’s a best time of day to wash your car? I’ve heard washing in the shade helps. What do you all think?

Definitely! Mid-morning or late afternoon are perfect. It prevents quick drying which can leave soap spots. Don’t rush it!

Washing at night sounds fun, but I’m worried I won’t see if I miss a spot! Anyone brave enough to try it?

Haha, I wouldn’t risk it! My car is my pride and joy, I wouldn’t want to be surprised by a scratch in the morning light!

I just like the process. It feels relaxing to wash my car while listening to music. It’s a time for reflection too!

I highly recommend ‘Clean Wheels’ in Hamilton! They have great self-service bays, and it’s super cost-effective. You can wash your car at your own pace without breaking the bank.

I’ve heard good things about that place! But for those who prefer a more hands-off approach, is full-service worth the extra cost?

I’ve tried both self-service and full-service washes. Self-service is great if you’re short on time and want to save money, but full-service is more convenient if you’re busy and want a thorough clean.

That’s true, but some people love the satisfaction of doing it themselves!

Actually, I find full-service washes often have better quality results. You might pay more, but the time and effort saved can be worth it, especially for a really dirty car.

Quality definitely matters! But what about the environmental impact? I heard self-service uses less water—thoughts?

I think self-service allows for more personal preference in cleaning! You can spend as long as you want on the areas that need it most. Plus, it feels more rewarding to see your hard work pay off.

That’s a great aspect! But sometimes, I just want to sit back and relax while someone else does the dirty work.

Self-service is not for everyone. If you want a quick wash and don’t want to get your hands dirty, full-service is a nice treat—especially after a long week.

But is it really a treat if it costs twice as much? I see both sides, but the budget is a big factor for many.

True, budget is important! However, you often get what you pay for. I’ve had some terrible experiences with self-service places that didn’t clean well at all.

That’s fair! Have any of you used the wash-and-vac option? Is that a game changer?
