Anyone know the real mpg on the 2.7 liter EcoBoost?

Have you guys considered any aftermarket modifications? I’ve read about adjusting the exhaust and intake for better airflow. Worth it?

I think any performance upgrades might help, but I worry about voiding the warranty. What has been your experience?

I read somewhere that highway driving with cruise control often gives better MPG. Does everyone here use cruise control regularly?

I do use cruise control, but I still find myself speeding up and slowing down constantly. Gotta work on that!

Don’t forget about the weight you’re carrying! If you’re hauling gear, that can impact fuel efficiency dramatically. Lighten up where you can!

True! I joke that my trunk is a black hole for useless stuff. Time for a clean-out!

Overall, I think it’s all about balance. Good driving habits, proper maintenance, and enjoying the ride! What more can we ask for?

I’ve been tracking my 2.7L EcoBoost, and I’m consistently getting around 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Not bad for a truck! Anyone else have similar experiences?

That’s impressive! I heard some people struggle to hit those numbers. What kind of driving do you mostly do?

I’ve got a Toyota Tundra with a smaller engine and I’m getting around 18 mpg city and 22 highway. How does the EcoBoost compare to that?

The EcoBoost really shines on the highways! It has some serious power and efficiency for its size, especially if you’re looking at FFVs like Tundras.

I average about 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. Honestly, I’m surprised how much I save. It’s great for my daily commute!

Wow, those numbers are fantastic! Are you doing anything special for that efficiency?

It helps to stay on top of regular maintenance and keeping the tires inflated. A little effort goes a long way! Does the EcoBoost engine require special oil or anything?

As far as I know, just regular synthetic oil will suffice. However, I wonder how the fuel efficiency compares to GM’s 2.7L turbo?

From what I’ve read, the GM engine does pretty well too, around 21 mpg combined, but it might not have the same torque.

Honestly, while MPG is important, driving experience also matters. Has anyone taken the EcoBoost off-road? How does it perform?

I took mine on some trails last weekend. It handled great, despite being a truck!

That’s awesome! When you say it handled well, are you talking about its power or the suspension? Curious to know how it feels off-road.

Both, honestly! The power is impressive, and the suspension soaked up the bumps really well. Definitely fun to drive!
