Anyone Tried LS Block Hugger Headers? Need Some Advice!

I had a buddy who didn’t listen and ended up with a mess. It’s good to weigh your options, especially if you’re reflective about your capabilities.

I’ve tried several brands of LS block hugger headers. Personally, I found Hooker BlackHeart to offer good quality with a nice finish. They fit well in my setup and didn’t require much modification.

That’s great to know! I’ve been looking at Flowtech headers, but I’m unsure about their performance. Has anyone here used them?

I’ve had a good experience with the Speed Engineering headers. They are affordable, and while the construction isn’t top-tier, they perform quite well and sound amazing.

I used Flowtech for a budget build once. They did the job, but I had some fitment issues on my first install. Just make sure to double-check everything!

I’ve read mixed reviews about different brands. Some swear by the quality of Hedman headers, while others have had rust issues. Seems to depend on the specific application.

Can anyone clarify the benefits of stainless steel versus mild steel for headers? I’m leaning towards one but would like some expert opinions.

Stainless steel headers usually offer better corrosion resistance and durability, but they can be pricier. Mild steel, however, can provide a more aggressive tone if done right.

I’ve been thinking of getting LS block hugger headers, but I wonder if I really need them for my street car. Are there significant benefits?

Absolutely! Block hugger headers can help with a tighter fit in cramped engine bays while improving exhaust flow, which is a plus even for street cars.
