Are there specific brands you’d recommend for intakes? I found a few online but I’m not sure which one to chose.
I’ve had good luck with K&N; they have a solid reputation and I didn’t notice any issues during installation. It’s also washable, making it easy to maintain!
My buddy swears by the Airaid intakes. He noticed a big difference after install and says it pairs well with his tune. Might be worth looking into.

I’ve had my 2.7 EcoBoost for a year now. On a flat road without any payload, I hit 0-60 in about 6.6 seconds. Weather was perfect too!

That’s impressive, haleyjason! I wonder if payload affects it much. I’ve noticed my truck struggles a bit when loaded down.
Payload definitely plays a role. I tested my F150 with a 1,000 lb load, and it took around 8 seconds to reach 60 mph on a slight incline.
Weather conditions can also change things. Rain slowed me down quite a bit—went from 6.8 to about 8 seconds. Gotta be careful!

Absolutely! I usually allow extra time in wet conditions. I think my best was 6.5 seconds on a clear day!
Interesting! I’ve mostly driven in dry weather. My best was right at 6.7 seconds with no payload. I’ve only really tested in the city though.

Anyone taken their F150 off-road? I’m curious how it performs on rough terrain. I’d guess acceleration would drop significantly.

I have! Definitely slower on rougher trails. I managed around 10 seconds in some tough spots. It’s fun, but expect a loss in speed!

I don’t think anyone buys a truck for speed, but it’s nice to know how it performs! Still, 6.5 seconds is not bad at all for a truck!

That’s a fair point! It’s a truck after all—we can’t expect sports car speeds. But it’s fun to compare numbers!
Right? Sometimes we just have to laugh at our expectations. Trucks will always have their strengths elsewhere!
