Looking for a 5000 CFM Electric Radiator Fan – Recommendations?

Seeking High-Performance Cooling Solutions

I’m in the market for a 5000 CFM electric radiator fan for my car and could use some advice!

What I’m Looking For:

  • High Cooling Capacity: I need something that can effectively manage engine temperatures, especially during those intense summer drives.
  • Compatibility: It should fit my [Car Make/Model]. If anyone has experience with specific models, please share!
  • Installation Tips: Any installation hurdles I should be aware of?

Questions:

  1. Model Recommendations: Which brands or models do you guys suggest?
  2. Performance: How do they perform in real-world scenarios?
  3. Reliability: Any issues with long-term use that I should consider?
  4. Price Range: What’s a reasonable price for a quality fan like this?

I really appreciate any insights you can share. Also, if you’ve had experience with different units, feel free to provide a comparison of what worked for you!

Thanks in advance!

I’m also on the lookout for a 5000 CFM electric radiator fan! I’ve heard great things about the SPAL fans. They have a solid reputation for cooling performance and energy efficiency.

I’ve got a Flex-a-lite 5000 CFM fan and it’s been fantastic! It cools really well but does draw quite a bit of power. Keep that in mind for energy costs.

That’s a great point! Energy efficiency is key. How does the Flex-a-lite compare to SPAL in terms of overall performance? Anyone tested both?

I’ve had both, and honestly, SPAL edged out slightly with cooling efficiency for me. But the Flex-a-lite was easier to install!

I think it depends on the specific needs of your vehicle. For racing, I’d stick with SPAL, but for daily driving, Flex-a-lite might be just fine and more budget-friendly.

I’d also recommend checking out Derale fans. They’ve been getting good reviews for both cooling and energy efficiency. Has anyone used those?

I considered Derale but ended up with SPAL for my modified car. Just felt more secure with the brand.

Cooler heads should prevail on this topic! But seriously, does size really dictate efficiency? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Size plays a part, but quality of build and motor also matter a lot! Have to balance those. What are your vehicle specs?

Anything over 5000 CFM is overkill for a standard vehicle, but on a modified engine, it’s another story! I just hope my new fan doesn’t sound like a jet engine!

[quote=“sean74, post:11, topic:2420”]Hope my new fan doesn’t sound like a jet engine![ /quote]Haha! If only we could modify our fans to purr like kittens. That would be a hit!

It’s all about finding the right balance between noise, cost, and cooling efficiency. User reviews can really help narrow it down.

I’m also looking for suggestions on electric radiator fans. A 5000 CFM fan sounds ideal for my build. Any tips on where to find a reliable one?

Check out Summit Racing or Amazon. They usually have a good selection and user reviews can help you choose the right one!

Make sure to consider compatibility with your vehicle. Some fans may draw more power than your system can handle!

Great point! I’m using a Honda Civic. Any recommendations for what fits best?

You should check with companies like Mishimoto or Flex-a-Lite. I believe they have fans that can work for Civics with good reviews.

Thanks for the tip! How about installation? Is it straightforward?

Installation can be a bit tricky. You’ll likely need to adapt your wiring and make sure to secure the fan properly. Don’t forget about air flow direction!
