Typically, every 30k-60k miles depending on use. You definitely don’t want to ignore it, or it might lead to bigger problems down the line!

Oh yes, the rust is pretty unanimous among F150 owners! Keeping it washed during winter helps, but it’s a battle. I’ve just treated mine with a rust inhibitor.
Rust inhibitors seem wise! I didn’t do that this winter and now I’m regretting it. Lesson learned!

I used some cheap outdoor paint. Not my best moment, but it looked decent from afar! Just be prepared for a lot of touch-ups.

Totally agree! Just be prepared for some quirks along the way. Each owner’s experience can differ quite a bit.
