Typically, every 30k-60k miles depending on use. You definitely don’t want to ignore it, or it might lead to bigger problems down the line!
That’s a good reminder! By the way, I’ve also noticed a lot of discussions around rust under the truck. Has anyone else had that issue?
Oh yes, the rust is pretty unanimous among F150 owners! Keeping it washed during winter helps, but it’s a battle. I’ve just treated mine with a rust inhibitor.
Rust inhibitors seem wise! I didn’t do that this winter and now I’m regretting it. Lesson learned!
Oops! But hey, you’re not alone. I once painted my whole truck out of frustration with the rust!
That’s hilarious! I think a DIY paint job sounds fun, but I would never have the guts. What paint did you use?
I used some cheap outdoor paint. Not my best moment, but it looked decent from afar! Just be prepared for a lot of touch-ups.
Haha, love that spirit! At least you took action! On a serious note, those mechanical issues shouldn’t deter someone from getting an F150. They’re generally reliable if maintained.
Totally agree! Just be prepared for some quirks along the way. Each owner’s experience can differ quite a bit.
