Good question! I’m mostly on highways but love hitting trails occasionally. Anyone have recommendations for that balance?
I’m currently running a 6-inch lift on my 2001 F150. The performance has improved, but I’ve noticed some changes in ride quality, especially on bumpy roads. It’s definitely a trade-off!
That’s interesting! How has the handling changed for you? I’m worried about turns after lifting.
When I installed my 4-inch lift, I felt like I was driving a different truck! However, steering response was off initially; I had to adjust the alignment significantly.
I’ve heard that’s common. Any tips on finding the right alignment shop?
In terms of braking, I swapped to larger rotors after lifting. It made a big difference in stopping power. Just something to consider!
Did you notice any changes in tow capacity? I plan to use mine for hauling.
You guys talking about brakes makes me laugh! My friend lifted his truck and forgot to upgrade brakes. Let’s just say it didn’t end well…be smart!
Ha! That’s a good reminder, @mullinstammy. But seriously, I feel like lifting can either enhance or worsen ride quality based on the kit. What brands are you guys considering?
I’m leaning toward the Rough Country kit. Anyone have bad experiences with it?
