Lightweight wheels can make a huge difference! What about aesthetics? Any ideas for body kits?
Hey everyone! I’m looking for reliable parts for my 95 Celica GT. Anyone have recommendations for OEM vs aftermarket sources? I want to keep it in great shape!
Check out RockAuto and AutoZone! They usually have a decent range of both OEM and aftermarket parts, plus reviews to help you decide.
If you’re considering OEM parts, don’t overlook the local dealership! They can surprisingly have good deals on older models.
I found some cool vintage car shops in my city. They specialize in imports and have some good connections for parts! What city are you in, @moorekathy?
I’m in Chicago! Any local recommendations? I’ve checked a few online places but I want to see them before buying.
For local shops, I highly recommend Spektrum Auto. They’re pretty knowledgeable about Celicas and can often find hard-to-source parts.
Nice tip! Has anyone tried online forums for sourcing parts? Sometimes you can find gems there!
Great idea, @fjones! I found a great community on Reddit that has a dedicated section for classic cars. Good advice and part leads too!
I guess my approach would be to mix and match. OEM for performance parts, aftermarket for the body. It can help keep costs in check!
How many of you have actually swapped parts? I tried swapping some brake pads once and it was a real learning experience! Almost put the wrong ones on!
Ha! Been there, done that! But hey, that’s how you learn, right? Just a part of the journey with our beloved rides.
Reflecting on @corey36’s point, every mod really teaches us something new about our cars. Enjoy the ride, and share your experiences!
