Good point, @omoore. I’ve always used a synthetic blend in my Subaru Outback, and it seems to mesh well with the treatment. Anyone tried it in a diesel engine? Curious if it works effectively there.
STP is generally for gasoline engines, so I wouldn’t risk it in a diesel. I’d try Royal Purple or another treatment specifically designed for diesel engines instead.
I used it in my 2007 Ford F-150 and it was quite effective! My engine felt smoother, and the oil pressure seemed more stable. Just be sure to change your oil regularly, technology only supplements what’s already in place!
