Toyota Yaris Car Review - What Do You Think?

I can’t get enough of the safety tech in the Yaris! It feels like having an extra set of eyes on the road!

Comfort levels aside, I’m curious about the Yaris’s performance. Does it handle well in different driving conditions? Especially in the city versus the highway?

It handles pretty well, especially in city traffic. It’s light and zippy! On the highway, it’s stable but can feel a bit underpowered with heavy loads.

I’ve owned other subcompacts and felt that the Yaris manages highway speeds without being a total slouch! Not the fastest, but definitely reliable.

I suppose we can’t expect speed from a small car! Just hoping it won’t be a tortoise on the mountain roads. How does it fare with hills?

Honestly, it’s not a beast on steep hills, but you will reach the top. Just plan your acceleration a bit in advance!

LOL! Sounds like a plan! But I think for daily commuting and errands, the Yaris is a great pick. Love the compact design for parking too!

I’ve had my Toyota Yaris for about three years, and I’m averaging around 38 mpg in mixed driving. It’s really impressive for such a small car!

That’s great to hear, iparker! I’ve been curious about its fuel efficiency. How does it perform on the highway?

Highway mpg is even better! I usually get around 42 mpg on long drives. It’s a real champion for fuel efficiency!

Wow, that’s amazing! What about maintenance costs? Do you find it expensive to keep up with?

Maintenance has been pretty reasonable for me. Oil changes are cheap, and I haven’t had any major issues since buying it. Reliability is top notch!

I agree! Mine’s been super reliable too. Any common repairs I should be aware of?

Not really! The only thing I’ve dealt with is routine brake pad replacement, which is normal for any vehicle. Overall, it’s been great!

That’s good to know! Do you think the Yaris will last well beyond 100k miles?

Absolutely! I’ve heard from owners who’ve had theirs for over 200k miles with just regular maintenance. It’s built to last.

That’s impressive! Have you all experienced any major issues while you owned it?

I haven’t, but I know some claim they had minor electrical issues. I always say, no car is perfect, right? Just seems to make sense to weigh the pros and cons.

Haha, true! As long as it doesn’t turn into a total circus show like my buddy’s old car! :joy:
