What Gas Should I Use for My Toyota Corolla?

I read that using premium sometimes can help with engine cleaning due to higher detergents. Has anyone noticed any cleaning benefits while switching?

It’s true! I’ve switched to premium occasionally and did notice the engine sounding a bit quieter. But, like others, mainly stick to regular. Gotta save money!

That’s an interesting point! I had no idea those detergents made such a difference. Might be worth it for some added maintenance.

My mechanic once told me that what really matters is keeping up with oil changes and maintenance. Fuel type is less impactful than we think!

Haha, I just make sure to fill up with whatever’s cheapest! As long as the car starts and runs, I’m good. Anyone else drive like this?

That’s definitely a strategy! I have done that before when I’m on a budget. But I’ve been curious if my Corolla can take any hit in performance from it.

I’ve noticed my gas mileage isn’t noticeably worse with regular gas! I just stick to it since my wallet appreciates it. My Corolla seems happy, too.

That’s a relief to hear, especially with gas prices as they are! I plan to stay with regular for now.

At the end of the day, whichever gas keeps your Corolla running is the best gas for you. Less headaches for sure.

I’ve been using regular unleaded for my Corolla, and it runs great. I’ve heard premium fuel can give better mileage, but is it really worth it for a Corolla?

I tried premium once, and I didn’t notice much difference in mileage. Regular fuel works for me, but I think it depends on engine condition too.

Premium can be tempting, especially for long-term engine health. Anyone got more personal experiences with higher octane fuels?

I switched to premium for a few months, mostly due to recommendations. My Corolla definitely felt smoother but at a cost. I went back to regular.

The higher cost of premium adds up! If you’re getting only a couple more miles per gallon, it might not be worth it.

Exactly! Plus, I read that using premium doesn’t always prevent engine knock in low compression engines like the Corolla.

I think it’s worth trying different fuels. My neighbor swears by premium, but I’ve never seen solid proof of those claims.

Haha, I have a neighbor like that too! It’s almost a cult at this point.

Just keeping it light here but—you could go with premium and start a whole new ‘fuel lifestyle’! #TeamPremium

I’ve been using mid-grade for years now, and my Corolla lasts well and performs as expected. It feels like a happy medium without breaking the bank.

That’s an interesting point! Mid-grade might just be the sweet spot for many Corollas.
