Anyone have the 1987 Porsche 944 factory interior colors brochure in PDF?

I’m currently working on restoring a 1987 Porsche 944 and I’m trying to get some accurate details about the factory interior colors that were offered back in the day. I’ve heard that there was a specific brochure that outlines all the colors, including codes and possibly some visuals.

What I’m Looking For:

  • If anyone has access to a PDF version of this brochure, could you share it?
  • Are there any specific color codes or nuances in details that I should know about regarding the interior?
  • Any tips on where I might find this information or other resources that could help me?

I want to ensure I stay true to the original specs, so any insights would be super helpful! Thanks in advance.

I’m also looking for that brochure! The 1987 Porsche 944 had some stunning interior colors. If anyone has a digital copy, that would be amazing!

I found a reference guide online that details the color codes used for the 1987 models. If you’re keen, I can share that!

Identifying the interior colors can be tricky! Most models had a code on the door jamb that you can check to verify the original color.

That’s a handy tip, @nicholasdavis! I was just about to paint my interior, but I’ll check that code first!

I love how vibrant the factory colors were back in '87! Anyone have pics of their interiors for reference? Let’s compare notes!

Totally worth checking before repainting! You want to stay true to the original beauty.

You know, Porsche colors aren’t just about looks; they have a way of telling a story of that era! So important to keep it authentic.

Has anyone seen that old press release where they showcased the 1987 colors? It really helps when interpreting those color codes!

Not sure about the press release, but occasionally, dealerships have good old resources, too. Might be worth asking!

I have a buddy who swears by vintage car magazines for color guides. It’s a bit of a treasure hunt, but you might find something useful!

A treasure hunt? Count me in! Though I’m more into the bright colors. Anyone know if outrageous colors were offered in '87?

You mean like a neon interior? Wouldn’t that be a sight! Ha!

I’m also looking for that brochure! For sourcing the original fabrics, I recommend checking out the Porsche Club forums; they often have great leads.

I’ve found some upholstery shops that specialize in vintage Porsches. You might want to contact “Classic Upholstery”; they do amazing restoration work.

If you’re considering aftermarket options, I’ve seen some great fabric on sites like SMS Auto Fabrics. They have a decent stock that closely resembles original Porsche options.

Thanks for the tip! I’ve heard that upholstery can really make or break the look of the car’s interior. Any specific colors of fabric you think work best?

I actually have a few swatches of the original colors from my 1987 944. I could share photos if that helps anyone in matching the fabrics.

What about DIY upholstery? Anyone tried it? I’m considering tackling this project myself, but I’ve heard it’s quite tricky!

I tried it once and let’s just say my car ended up with a very colorful interior - but not in a good way! I’d recommend leaving it to the pros unless you’re very confident.
