Anyone tried ICON Stage 2 for their 4Runner? Need some insights!

The ride on the highway is surprisingly smooth! You do feel the bumps more than stock, but I actually enjoy the feedback. It keeps the driving experience engaging.

I’ve been considering the ICON Stage 2 for a while now. Does it improve stability while cornering?

Absolutely! The added control is noticeable. It feels much more planted compared to stock, making it easier to tackle turns on winding roads.

Does it really perform well in mud? I could use some insights on how it handles soft terrains.

For mud, I can say yes! With the right tires, the ICON Stage 2 helps keep you moving when the ground gets soft.

I’ve only tested it on rocky terrain, but I’m excited to see how it handles the mud this winter! Any tire recommendations to pair with it?

I’m a big fan of the Falken Wildpeak AT3W! They pair nicely with the ICON suspension for a balanced performance across terrains.

Great suggestion! Is it too loud for daily driving or does it stay quiet at highway speeds?

It’s relatively quiet for an all-terrain tire. I barely notice it unless I’m on poorly maintained roads. Perfect for daily drivers who also love off-roading!

That sounds promising! I’m wondering if anyone has had any issues with installation? I’ve heard it can be tricky without the right tools.

I had a buddy help me out, and it was tough, but worth every minute! Just make sure to have the right equipment ready.

Adding to that, I watched a video tutorial which helped a lot! Just make sure you have everything laid out before starting.

I’ve installed the ICON Stage 2 on my 2020 4Runner TRD Off-Road and it’s been fantastic. Make sure you check compatibility if you have a different trim, especially if it’s a 2019 or older model.

That’s awesome! I’ve heard it really enhances handling. Did you have to make any additional modifications?

I’m thinking about it for my 2022 4Runner Limited. Are there any specific installation difficulties I should know about? I heard the Limited can be a bit tricky.

For the Limited models, you might need to adjust the rear sway bar. It’s not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind!

I’ve heard mixed things about the ICON Stage 2. Some love it for its durability, while others mention issues with the ride quality. Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, I’ve read that too. I wonder if it’s just certain batches that are problematic?

I have a 2018 4Runner and added the Stage 2 myself. The instructions were clear, but it took longer than expected due to some rusted bolts. Just a heads up!

That sounds frustrating! Did you have to use any special tools?
