I recently rode the BMW G 310 R and I was impressed by its engine performance. The bike feels responsive, especially in city traffic. It’s perfect for quick accelerations when needed!
I’ve mostly used mine for highway cruising. It’s comfortable enough, although I wish it had a bit more power at higher speeds. Still, a solid ride overall.
Not a dealbreaker for me! The G 310 R is what it is—a fun city bike. You trade off a bit of power for agility and ease of use. It’s about balance! Wouldn’t ride it for long tours, though.
I’ve had my BMW G 310 R for over a year now, and I have to say, the seating position is quite comfortable for short rides. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for long distances as it can get a bit tiring after a few hours.
That’s interesting, uschmidt! I felt the same way on longer rides. The seat itself is plush, but after about an hour, I really start to feel it in my lower back.
For daily commuting, it’s fantastic! Easy to maneuver in traffic and the riding posture is upright enough to not strain your back. Just bring a cushion if you plan on taking it out for a full day.
Absolutely! The upright posture helps a lot in city rides, but I also find that after a couple of hours, fatigue does set in a bit, especially if you’re not taking breaks.
I’m curious, how does the bike handle on different road types? I do some longer rides on weekends and want to know if it feels stable on the highway versus city streets.
Great question, jessicamoreno! I’ve ridden it on highways and it’s surprisingly stable, even at higher speeds. Just keep in mind, it’s not built for aggressive touring, so don’t push it too hard!
While the riding posture is great for most, I still feel like the footpeg placement could be slightly better. It sometimes feels cramped after a while, making those longer trips feel even longer.
I think the bike looks great and that’s half the battle! But if comfort isn’t there, I might not be sold on it. Has anyone managed to modify their seat or something similar?
