Are Goodyear Tires Worth It? Share Your Thoughts!

I’m looking to buy some new tires and I’ve been hearing a lot about Goodyear.

Thinking about these points:

  • Quality and Reliability: How do they perform in various weather conditions?
  • Longevity: How long do they typically last?
  • Comparison: How do they stack up against other brands like Michelin?
  • User Experiences: What have been your personal experiences with specific Goodyear models?

If you’ve used Goodyear tires, I’d love to get your feedback! Are they really good tires or just a well-marketed option? Any insights or stories would really help me make a decision.

I’ve been using Goodyear tires for years, and the tread life has been impressive. I had the Assurance WeatherReady model, and it lasted nearly 60,000 miles with minimal wear.

That’s great to hear! I recently switched to the Goodyear Eagle Sport all-season tires and found them durable under various conditions, including rain and light snow.

I’ve had mixed experiences with Goodyear. The Eagle F1s I used were amazing for grip but wore out quicker than I expected. Just under 30k miles!

That’s interesting. I had a similar experience with their high-performance tires. Great on dry pavement but not as durable as I’d hoped.

The Goodyear Assurance line has been excellent for me. Great tread life and they perform well even in snow. Highly recommend for anyone living in a colder climate.

I agree with blairkaren! I also live in a snowy area, and Goodyear tires have kept me safe and stable during the winter months.

Overall, their durability in different conditions has worked well for me, but tread life can vary with the models. Does anyone have feedback on the Goodyear Wrangler tires?

The Wranglers perform pretty well in wet conditions, but I noticed some hydroplaning at higher speeds. Just be cautious during heavy rains!

It’s funny how different models can affect performance so much. I’m currently on my third set of Goodyear tires and all have their quirks. Always interesting to see!

Absolutely! I never thought tire shopping would be so nuanced. What’s the wrap-up on expected mileage?

On average, I’ve seen 50k-70k miles with Goodyear, depending on the model. Just make sure to rotate them regularly to maximize their life!

Consistently hearing about 50k miles gives me hope. But how do their prices compare? Are they really worth that extra cost?

Pricing can be tricky. While Goodyear tires can be pricier, their longevity and performance often justify the cost in my experience. Less frequent replacements!

I’ve had ups and downs with Goodyear, but their warranty and customer service have always been supportive. It makes a difference when you need assistance.

I’ve been using Goodyear tires for years. They have great all-weather options like the Assurance WeatherReady, which handles wet and dry conditions really well.

Totally agree! The Assurance is fantastic. I also love the Wrangler series for off-road adventures; they grip well on various terrains.

Goodyear’s Eagle line is superb for sporty vehicles, especially in dry conditions. But I’d love to hear thoughts on winter tires - do they really hold up in severe snow?
