C6 Z06 Tire Size Recommendations?

I’m looking for some insights on tire sizes for my C6 Z06. I’m particularly interested in:

  • The stock tire sizes and specifications.
  • Any recommended upgrades for better performance or handling.
  • Experiences with different tire brands or types, especially for various driving conditions (e.g., dry, wet, track).
  • Any technical details I should keep in mind to ensure optimal fit and safety.

I’ve seen a few different sizes mentioned online and I want to make sure I’m making the right choice. If anyone has insights, advice, or personal experiences to share, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

For the C6 Z06, the stock tire sizes are 275/35 ZR18 in the front and 325/30 ZR19 in the rear. These are great for everyday driving.

I’ve found that going up to a 295/30 ZR18 in the front can enhance grip, especially during cornering! Has anyone else tried this?

If you’re looking for performance, consider using Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. They provide excellent traction and handling.

I’ve had great experiences with Michelin too! But for track days, does anyone recommend a different tire?

For track use, going with a 345/30 ZR19 on the rear could really up your game! It’s all about maximizing contact with the asphalt.

That sounds like a solid upgrade! How does that affect tire wear on a daily driver?

Just keep in mind, wider tires can wear out faster. A balanced approach is essential depending on how often you’re at the track versus on the road.

What about weather conditions? Anyone use all-season tires on their Z06? I’d imagine they could compromise performance, right?

I’ve tried some all-season options, but they don’t compare to summer tires in terms of grip. You get what you pay for, especially for performance cars.

Agreed! But have we all had a laugh when trying winter tires? My Z06 in the snow was a sight!

Ha! Yeah, Justin! I once tried driving my Z06 in winter tires just to prove a point. Let’s just say it was a very slippery adventure.

In conclusion, stick to performance tires for summer, consider your use case carefully, and enjoy the ride! Anyone else have tips?

I highly recommend sticking with the stock tire size for the C6 Z06, which is 285/30 in the front and 335/35 in the rear. This setup gives the best balance of handling and performance on the track.

While stock is great, I’ve had success with wider tires. A 295 front can enhance grip without a huge penalty in longevity.

I’ve seen mixed opinions on wider tires. Sure, they can improve handling, but can they negatively impact braking distances? It’s something to consider for sure!

Exactly! I think it’s about finding that sweet spot. What do others think about tire longevity in this case?

When I switched to 305 in the front, I could feel the difference in handling! But yeah, I had to replace them more often. It’s definitely a trade-off.

That sounds awesome! Did you notice any difference in acceleration or cornering speed?

I went with a staggered setup: 275/30 in the front and 345/30 in the rear. It feels great on the track but has noticeably affected tire life!
