Questions about BBS RC Center Caps - Help Needed!

I’ve been diving into the world of BBS wheels lately and I’m particularly interested in the RC models. I need some advice on a few things:

1. Size and Fitment

What size are the center caps for BBS RC wheels? Are they specific to certain models, or are they all pretty much the same?

2. Where to Buy

I’ve heard that there are a lot of counterfeit parts out there. Any recommendations on where to find genuine BBS center caps? Online shops, or maybe even local dealers?

3. Installation Tips

Has anyone had experience with installing or replacing these caps? Any tools or tricks that make the job easier?

4. Compatibility

Are these center caps compatible with other BBS wheels, or should I only look for RC-specific parts?

5. General Advice

If you’ve dealt with BBS center caps before, what are some common mistakes or pitfalls to avoid? I want to make sure I do this right!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I’m looking forward to your insights!

Hey everyone! I’m really looking for tips on how to spot fake BBS RC center caps. There are so many fakes out there. Any advice?

Absolutely, jaredhamilton! One way to tell if they’re authentic is to check the weight and material. Genuine BBS caps have a solid feel compared to the cheap plastic of fakes.

Great point, christina90! I’ve noticed that the printing on authentic BBS caps is sharper and more defined. Counterfeits often have a blurry logo.

That’s a good tip, lacey87! Also, make sure to look inside the cap for the BBS hologram. If it’s missing, it’s likely fake.

I’ve had an experience buying online where I almost got duped! Always buy from reputable sites or direct from BBS dealers. eBay can be a minefield!

Thanks for the warning, bauerangela! I’ve seen so many listings that look legit but just aren’t. Anyone have specific sites they trust?

I usually check out Tire Rack and official BBS distributors. Just feel safer that way!

BBS caps might be pricey, but you get what you pay for! Cheaper alternatives are often junk, which isn’t worth it in the long run.

Totally agree! Always check reviews and seller ratings to avoid fakes.

Does anyone else think the fakes are getting better? Sometimes, I even second-guess myself when looking at them.

It’s definitely concerning, larry29! That makes it even more critical to educate ourselves on what to look for.

Agreed! Maybe a guide or checklist could help out newcomers navigate the counterfeit problem.

I’d read that, dixongregory! What else would you suggest including in a guide? I’d love to help.

Well, for starters, photos of the real vs fake would be great. And maybe tips on how to check the manufacturing date as well?

I’m also looking into BBS RC center caps. I’ve heard that they can fit on various aftermarket wheels. Has anyone tried them on Rotiforms?

Rotiforms are great! However, I’ve heard that fitment can vary between models, so it’s a bit tricky. Make sure you check the sizes!

I had BBS RC caps on my OEM Audi wheels, and they fit perfectly! Just don’t forget to check the diameter of the center bore. It’s crucial for a good fit.

Exactly! The center bore is key for performance too. A loose cap can ruin your handling.
