I’ve been considering upgrading to a Racing Beat exhaust for my Miata and would love to get some feedback from anyone who’s had experience with it. Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:
Performance Gains
Is there a noticeable increase in horsepower or torque?
How does it affect throttle response?
Sound Quality
What kind of sound can I expect?
Is it deep and aggressive or more on the subtle side?
How does it compare to stock in terms of volume?
Installation Experience
Was the installation straightforward?
Did you need any special tools or modifications?
Durability and Maintenance
Have you had any issues with fitment or rust?
How often do you need to clean or maintain it?
Value for Money
Is it worth the price?
Would you recommend it over other options?
Any feedback on these points would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
I’ve had the Racing Beat Miata exhaust for a few months now. Under acceleration, it produces a lovely deep roar that really brings the car to life! At idle, it’s surprisingly mellow, not obnoxious at all. Overall, it’s a huge improvement over the stock exhaust in terms of sound quality.
I’ve always found the stock exhaust too quiet. The Racing Beat has a nice growl when you get on it, and it sounds much better during downshifts too. It really enhances the driving experience!
It’s perfectly fine! Unlike some aftermarket exhausts, the Racing Beat isn’t too loud for daily driving. It sounds great without being obnoxious around town.
I’ve had it on my car for over a year now. It’s held up well, and the sound has only become more robust with time. Definitely a solid investment if you’re looking for performance and sound.
I recently installed the Racing Beat Miata exhaust and it was a straightforward process. You’ll need basic tools like a socket set, a jack, and stands. I’d rate the difficulty as moderate—nothing too crazy but worth taking your time on.
Thanks for the heads-up! Did you encounter any challenges during the installation process? Just trying to gauge if there’s anything I should be prepared for.
I did hit a small snag with the factory exhaust bolts—they were pretty rusted! A little PB Blaster helped out. Make sure to have a breaker bar handy just in case those bolts give you trouble.
No adjustments were needed for me, but I’ve read others had to tweak a couple of the hangers for a snug fit. It might depend on the model year of your Miata!
In my experience, it took some fiddling to line things up properly, but it’s doable. Just ensure you’ve got a friend to help hold it in place while you secure it.
