I’ve been driving the new Toyota Fortuner 2014 for a few months now and I must say, the engine performance is impressive. It handles steep inclines well, especially in off-road conditions.
I feel the same way! The Fortuner’s torque delivery makes it feel powerful, whether you’re on the highway or the dirt roads. It’s a great family SUV.

Has anyone tested its fuel efficiency on long trips? I’m curious how it compares to other SUVs like the Honda CR-V.
I took my Fortuner off-road and it performed fantastically! The suspension handles rough terrains without any issues. Definitely makes road trips more adventurous!
That’s great to hear! I’m planning a camping trip in a few weeks and I’m glad the Fortuner is suitable for that.

Honestly, I find the fuel consumption a bit higher than I expected. It’s a great car, but it could be more efficient in city driving compared to rivals.
You bring up a valid point. The Fortuner is heavy, which might explain the fuel efficiency issues. Still, it’s got power!

I do appreciate the interior space and comfort. Makes long drives with the family quite pleasant. Kudos to Toyota for that!
For me, the handling is middle-of-the-road compared to the likes of the Ford Everest. The Fortuner is solid but could use a bit more refinement in cornering.
That’s interesting. I have an Everest too and I think they both have their pros and cons. It’s really about what you’re looking for in a vehicle.
In summary, the Fortuner offers robust performance, but it’s not the most fuel-efficient. However, the driving experience is quite enjoyable overall!

I completely agree, martinalyssa! It’s a fun car to drive, even if you have to plan your fuel stops wisely. Just try not to get stuck behind too many slow movers!
The interior of the Toyota Fortuner 2014 really impresses with its use of space. The seating is comfortable enough for long journeys, which is a huge plus. What do you all think about the materials used in the cabin?
I agree! The upholstery feels premium, especially in the higher trims. It’s a significant upgrade from the previous model.

I found the infotainment system to be pretty user-friendly. The touchscreen is responsive, which makes it easy to navigate while driving. Does anyone have issues with the connectivity features, though?
I haven’t faced connectivity issues, but I love how the system integrates with smartphones! It makes long trips much more enjoyable. What’s your favorite feature?
The spaciousness in the backseat is a game changer for families. Kids have plenty of room to stretch out, which is excellent for road trips!
Absolutely! The comfort and space really make a difference. I wish they had provided more vents for backseat passengers, though.

I personally think it’s a cozy interior overall, but is anyone else not a fan of the color schemes available? They feel a bit dated to me.
