What’s the Deal with Power Stop Z36? Looking for a Review!

I’ve been doing some research on the Power Stop Z36 brake pads and rotors, and I’m really curious about their performance. I’m particularly interested in:

  • Quality: How do they hold up over time?
  • Performance: Do they really offer the high stopping power they claim?
  • Suitability: Would these be a good match for a daily driver or just for performance vehicles?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has used these products! What has your experience been? Were there any issues, or do you think they lived up to the hype? Any comparisons to other brands would also be super helpful. Looking forward to your thoughts!

I’ve had the Power Stop Z36 brakes on my truck for about six months now. The stopping power is fantastic, and I rarely experience any fade, even during heavy towing. Definitely recommend them!

That’s great to hear! What about driving in wet conditions? Do they still perform well?

I’ve driven my Z36-equipped car through rain and they did fine! Stopping was still reliable, no noticeable issues. Great for daily driving and spirited runs!

I found they handle heat well too. After several hard stops, I didn’t notice much fade. It feels like they’re built for performance.

Are the Z36 pads noisy? I’ve heard mixed reviews on that aspect. I’m all for performance, but I can’t deal with constant squeaking.

Mine aren’t noisy at all! The initial break-in period had some noise, but now they run quietly. Just give them some time to settle.

That’s reassuring! I want performance brakes but not at the cost of a headache.

I drive a lot in the city and find the Z36s work incredibly well at stop-and-go traffic. Quick stops without any mushy feel.

I’ve had a problem with some brakes fading during long downhill drives. Does anyone know if the Z36 helps with that?

Turbocharged cars especially benefit from the Z36’s fade resistance. I frequently drive through mountain roads, and these brakes hold up! No fade issues for me.

That’s impressive! Sounds like they might be worth the investment.

I’ve had Z36 on my performance car—gonna be honest, nothing compares! They even look great behind the wheels, which is a bonus!

I installed them on my Jeep for off-roading, and they performed well! Better stopping power compared to stock brakes, even on rough terrain.

Though they work well, keep in mind they do produce a bit of dust. Just need to wash the wheels a bit more often, but worth it for the performance.

Good point! Dusty wheels are a trade-off, but performance is critical!

The Z36 is also reasonably priced for the performance it offers. Definitely saved me money in the long run with fewer replacements needed!

I’ve installed the Power Stop Z36 brakes on my 2016 Silverado. The installation was quite straightforward! Just make sure you have all the necessary tools ready before you start.

That’s good to hear! I was worried it might be complicated for my 2018 RAM 1500. Any compatibility issues with different models?

I had some trouble with fitting the calipers on my Mazda 3. They’re very specific about which models they fit – double-check those specs before buying!
