Oiled filters allows oil mist to flow into the intake tract,the oil dirties the super sensitive Mass Airflow sensors and other similar electronics that feed data into the engines computer. If you run oiled filters[VERY easy to over saturate w oil when servicing]you MUST clean the Mass Air sensor often and properly. Never actually allow anything to touch the fragile sensor.
